Shannon Brinkman is a seabird biologist for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Arcata Field Office and the North Coast Seabird Protection Network (NCSPN). She earned her Master’s Degree from HSU in 2016, where she worked on monitoring parental care behaviors in Brandt’s Cormorants. She has lived in Humboldt since 2014, working as a seabird biologist for the Marine Life Protection Act Baseline Study and now focused on the NCSPN, hoping to not only protect the seabirds along our California coast but get people excited about seabirds!
